The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival, Feb. 5-14, 2010, is the longest-running event of its kind in the eastern U.S. Now entering its 113th year, the Carnival began as a one-day event to break the monotony of the long Adirondack winter and has grown into…

Update on Kyle

Thursday 2/4: Kyle is still at Fletcher-Allen Hospital in Burlington, VT. He is doing much better today. He can sit up and talk. The crash banged him up: he has numerous broken ribs, two broken collar bones, a fractured back and two punctured lungs. Despite all of those injuries, the good news is that he appears to have sustained no serious neck, back, spine or head injuries, and doctors expect him to make a full recovery. He may not even need any surgery. There is a card for everyone to sign in the dining room. More updates to follow.
